In partnership with Aloha Festivals, Pearlridge Center will hold the 2019 Keiki Ho‘olaule‘a – a free, full-day event perfect for families and their keiki. Musical groups and hālau hula (hula schools) will take to the stage throughout the day, while arts and crafts stations, demonstrations and other activities provide families with a Saturday full of fun.
In conjunction, Pearlridge will also host the Pū Ha‘aheo, the Third Annual Keiki Conch Shell Blowing Contest during the Keiki Ho‘olaule‘a. A Pū Blowing Workshop & Informational Seminar in preparation for the contest will be held on Sept. 7 at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and all contestants must attend one seminar class in order to participate. Sign ups for the conch shell blowing contest are open now through Sept. 1. For the application and further details, visit bit.ly/pucontest19.
